How to Create Sitemaps For Search Engine Submission
Sitemaps are a way to tell Google about pages on your web-site. Whether your site is a new one or it is one that you update frequently by adding new pages, you can use a Sitemap.
A Sitemap uses XML format which is human readable as well as computer readable. If you have pages that are not linked from your main home page (landing pages and such), you can use sitemaps to get Google to index them.
You use a sitemap to submit your site details to Google, Yahoo and Bing.
Browse to the xml-sitemaps website.
1. Enter your full http address name in the textbox provided.
2. Change the Change Frequency to Monthly. Hopefully you will change your page at least once a week.
3. Leave Last Modification as it is.
4. Leave Priority as it is.
5. Click Start.
Please be patient. This takes some time. The system is now processing. The more pages you have, the longer it takes.
In a while you will be provided with three options. What we need is the un-compressed version.

Right mouse click on this link and save to your computer.
Once the file is saved to your computer, you need to open it and make sure you have all your important pages in the file. Files that are often missed by Googlebot may also be missed by this tool.
You need to go back to the xml-sitemaps tool and enter manually the names of all such pages that have been missed.
You can submit many different websites through a single Sitemap or using multiple Sitemaps.
Sitemaps can be submitted to Google via the Webmasters tool or via your robots.txt file.
