Here the two parties decide on the kind of work needed to be done, establish some
basic parameters and decide the cost of transaction. This means, for whatever work
the marketer gets done, he/she gets a fixed price irrespective of results.
The marketer is interested in finishing up the job as fast as possible and move on to
other jobs. He has no gain in putting up a better than average show as he does not
share in your profits.
We on the other hand follow Partnership Marketing. In this model, the marketer receives a
very small advance/retainer for the work to be done. He puts his 100% into the work being done
and in return he receives a percentage of the profits.
As you can see, the marketer has a vested interest in your promotion and the
success of your business.
This means he gives your work more importance as he stands to benefit exponentially
if the promotion does well.
I have a zero retainer plan where you pay me
nothing or very little up front for my consultation. I get paid a small
percentage of the huge profits that you gain due to my efforts. In Venture Partnering,
I charge you only when the dough starts rolling in for you.
Most of my income is from royalties from winning promotions. Good for you, good for me!

Why don't I charge a retainer like other marketing agencies?
I hate to charge you if you received no benefit
from our transaction. (Yes, I do run the risk of some business owners
not maximising their potential by ignoring my advice.)
Since I do not charge you upfront, your cost of marketing expertise goes down tremendously.
Also, you know that I will not suggest strategies or tactics unless I am absolutely
sure they will work for you. Marketing expertise is expensive and great expertise
even more so.
Once my ideas prove themselves by increased response, greater sales, higher revenue
and record busting profits; you can continue using it and improving it to gain even
greater efficiencies. Since you only pay me when you are flush with cash, marketing
becomes a profit center for you. Also you pay me only for demonstrated benefits.
